Bloody hell, this Speyside number is lush 😍 Got that complex nose first, all the flavours, orchestra plays in tune proper: dried pears, ripe and overripe apples, orange marmalade, even a whiff of tarte tatin, hay, grass and barley, sultanas, raisins, that earthy roots vibe, faint smoky touch like a Highland whiff, honeyed leathery notes too. Mouth feel is pretty perfect, silky as anything, got roasted malt, touches of stout, nuts, deep gold colour looks dead nice. Finish is quite long, leaves that smoky, honeyed, grassy aftertaste, reminds me of a good old lightly sherried Speysider, proper classic Speyside vibes but way more layered. Proper good drop, though it’s rather pricy one mind 🤔
