Whiskyspace Notes 2355

Sitting here with a dram, nosing it in, and there's this sweet barley upfront, like porridge and oats mixed together. Not too complicated, but the way it sits on the tongue – medium-bodied, maybe? – makes me think of Werther's Originals melting slow. Then comes this weird banana cake note, just green bananas and maracuja all at once, weirdly sweet. The finish is oddly familiar, like a Latte in the aftertaste, but then it flips to damp chalk at school, that dusty, dry feeling. Definitely not a "water" whiskey – forget about adding that, it’d make it all too complex. Feels like it's been sleeping in one of those millions of similar casks up north for, I dunno, Twenny-one years? Just grass and straw lingering, with a hint of paraffin – not unpleasant, like the inside of a new shoebox. Sweet, yeah, but not cloying. Kinda makes me crave pancakes now, oddly enough. 🥃
